How is copyright dealt with?

Each designer owns the copyright to their designs until they are announced a contest winner by a contest holder, and shift the rights covering the winning design to the contest holder.

That transfer occurs by the end of the contest, in the Source Files Upload stage, where winning designer needs to sign a contract to transfer the ownership rights of the winning design to contest holder.

After the winning design has been uploaded in the Source Files Upload process, and the copyright transfer is agreed by winning designer, copyright is observed to be transferred to the contest holder.

You can print the Design Transfer Agreement for your records if you want. But we will also preserve a copy of the agreement, you can ask any time for it.
