Designer FAQs

First create an account. After you signed up, just find a contest that you want to participate and click on Submit Design button. Read the guidelines carefully and make sure your design file complies with the requirements. Then click the Browse button and select your design and click on Submit Design button.

Make sure you follow the guidelines before submitting your designs:

  1. Please do not use CLIPART.
  2. Please do not use CONTENT from 3rd party source unless you have the ownership rights
  3. Your design should be in .JPEG/.JPG, .PNG or .GIF format
  4. Minimum dimensions of design file should be 500px wide and 375px high, and Maximum dimensions should be 1900px wide and 2000 px high
  5. Maximum upload file size should be 2MB
  6. You've read 110Designs Designer Code of Conduct

Failing to abide by the guidelines might result in your prize-money deduction, permanent account banning, legal action against you and more that depends on the type of violation occurs.

You have to wait until the contest holder choose the winner of their design contest.

The contest holder has 14 days to choose a winner. If they do not choose a winner within that time frame, we will contact them to do so. If they have a guaranteed contest and still have not chosen a winner within 60 days of contest ending, we will keep sending them reminders until they finalize the contest by themselves.

We need to ensure the prize-money goes to the declared winning designer by contest holder and the contest holder has the source files of the design they've paid for.

You will be notified by email or you can directly see by logging in to your account at 110Designs. Your design will be marked as the winner.

You will receive an email giving you all the instructions how to send/upload source files and complete files handover process.

Make sure you follow all the instructions carefully to avoid any prize deduction.

For logo design, icon/button/banner design contests, the winner will provide the following file formats

  1. AI: Adobe Illustrator – PMS/CMYK
  2. EPS: Encapsulated Postscript - CMYK
  3. SVG: Scalable Vector Graphics
  4. PDF: Portable Document File - CMYK
  5. PSD: Photoshop Document - RGB
  6. PNG: Portable Network Graphics - RGB
  7. JPG: Joint Photographic Experts Group - RGB
  8. GIF: Graphic Interchange Format - RGB

For website & app designs, or print design contests

  1. PSD: Photoshop Document - Fully layered (Website & app: 72dpi, Print: 300dpi) or
  2. PDF: Portable Document File (which is a universal file format that can be used with any image editing software) or
  3. AI: Adobe Illustrator file, or INDD: Adobe InDesign file

If Contest Holder asks for any additional format, you should communicate via private messages and provide the formats Contest Holder is asking for.

They have up to 3 days to confirm your files, if it passed 3 days and there's no confirmation we assume that contest holder has received correct files and the prize(s) will be transferred to you.

Your prize will be released after 3 business days of uploading/sending your final source files of the winning design if no issue found in the files. The files will be checked by Contest Holder and 110Designs QA team to ensure they meet the required standards.

Make sure you’ve a valid PayPal ID entered in your profile to receive the prize.
