We wish to thank all the designers who entered our contest. We apologize for not giving prompt feedback. All the entry's reflected unique talents and it was difficult to make a choice as our team argued back and forth. The final choice boiled down to sharp edges and squares -versus contours (more preferable as considered more nature-like). We will have another competition in a few weeks on the same subject about the event itself. We look forward to more interaction.
hi bandhuji, this is great improvement. I will wait for my colleagues before we submit more comments as its still 5am here.
Quick ones
1. The globe and green leaf has ciome out very well. I appreciate that.
2.The word Toronto at the bottom needs correction from Tronto to Toronto.
3. It looks like we will have three outputs --but that's at a later stage.
#1 Poster comments
1. Colors should be green and gold. The white background is good because it makes reading easier (I line with colors in the logo)
2. “Call for Contestants” should be uniform and very visible and distinct—this is the main purpose for this –please see point #4. Call to action should be added—REGISTER TODAY. The poster should elicit action.
3. Some environmental motif—probably globe watermark
4. We can add REGISTER TODAY! Then add “to avoid disappointments” in small letters below it.
5. The logo should be at the top
6. The lettering of the heading should not be inverted.
7. Deadline is December 23, 2011
8. Canada contest date is Jan 6-7, 2012. US Contest is January 13-14, 2012, Kenya contest is Jan 20-21, 2012. These three dates should be included either jointly or separately, as part of output.
9. In terms of photo, please the photo of Martha Pawelek— http://www.missgreenplanet.tv/photo/23/ the first photo. Se should add more photos later in the week. http://www.missgreenplanet.tv/photo/23.
