What is Design Contest?

Design contest is an event where someone who needs a design (called Contest Holder) is offering prize(s) to designers who are participating to create the design based on contest holder's requirements. The contest holder will choose the winner(s) based on the best design that contest holder prefers, and the prize(s) will be awarded to the winner(s).

How does a Design Contest work?

How to launch a contest?

Click on Launch Contest. Tell about what design you need and set the prize(s) that you offer for the design(s) you needed.

What is a guaranteed contest?

Guaranteed contest is a contest where contest holder is promising the design community that they will select winner(s). Guaranteed contest is not a must, but we encourage you to do so because it will build the trust between you and the designers, and they will more likely to participate in your contest. You can anytime make your contest guaranteed.

What is a private contest?

Private contest is a contest that is hidden from Search Engine and only accessible for registered members. This is useful when you want to launch a contest that is hidden from public.

What if I do not select a winner of a guaranteed contest?

Once your contest is ended, you have 14 days to select a winner. After 14 days the prize will be divided between participated designers or 110Designs will select the winner by its own based on quality and creativity. However, if you are not able to select the winner in the allotted time for some reason, just ask us via email or live help and we will extend your winner selection time.

What if I don't like any of the design?

We offer a 100% money back guarantee within 60 days of payment, with the only exception being if your contest has a guaranteed prize or you’ve awarded a winner.

If you’ve chosen to offer a guaranteed prize, you’re promising the design community that you will pick a winner, so your contest won't be eligible for a refund. However you can extend your contest for more days to get even more creative designs.

How can I choose the contest winner(s)?

To choose the winner(s) of your contest you need to select Design Nominees first. To select design nominees, click on Nominate link below the design thumbnail on your contest page, when that link changed to Denominate, it means that you have selected that design as one of your design nominees (if you want to denominate the design, simply click on Denominate link). After you select the design nominees, go to Design Nominees page by clicking on View Design Nominees, you will be able to select the winner(s) of your contest there.

When should I choose the winner(s)?

You can choose the winner(s) during the contest or within 14 days after the contest ended. However, in the first 7 days you can make some tunings to the designs you like the most before making the final decision. If any of the design(s) selected as Nominee(s) that designer(s) will be able to submit revised designs even after the contest ends to ensure your 100% satisfaction.

What final file formats do I receive after selecting a winner?

You will get multiple file formats from the winning designer(s). Here is the list of the file formats you will receive as the final files.

If you want any additional format, can communicate with the winning designer(s) to provide so.

What if the designer doesn't upload the design files after I have selected the winner(s)?

While it's most unlikely the designer doesn't upload the design files, please contact our support if it happens so we can sort out the issue. Your prize(s) are safe as it has not been transferred yet.

How to submit my designs?

You need to create an account. After you signed up, just find a contest that you want to participate and click on Submit Design button. Then you can upload your design in .jpg, .gif or .png format.

How do I know that my design is chosen as the winner?

You will be notified by email or you can directly see by logging in to your account at 110Designs. Your design will be marked as the winner.

What should I do after my design is selected as the winner?

You will receive an email giving you all the instructions how to send source files and complete files handover process.

What final file formats do I have to send Contest Holder for winning design?

You have to send multiple file formats for the winning design to Contest Holder. Here is the list of the file formats you will send as the final files.

If Contest Holder asks for any additional format, you should communicate via private messages and provide the formats Contest Holder is asking for.

What is the format of the design files that I need to upload?

It should be in .zip or .rar format.

What if the contest holder doesn't confirm my files?

They have up to 3 days to confirm your files, if it passed 3 days and there's no confirmation we assume that contest holder has received correct files and the prize(s) will be transferred to you.
